Capitol Heights resident Ronnell Hardy, 43, and 42-year-old Avery Eccles, of Upper Marlboro have been been charged for their roles in the murder of Anthony Okoye in September.

At approximately 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14, officers were called to the 1200 block of Marblewood Avenue in Capitol Heights, where they found the 41-year-old Bladensburg resident suffering from gunshot wounds at the Prince George's County tire shop.

Okoye was rushed to an area hospital, where he later died from injuries sustained during the shooting, police said.

Investigators say that Eccles and Hardy were customers at the tire shop when they shot Okoye during a dispute over payment for tires.

Hardy and Eccles were both charged with first- and second-degree murder and other related offenses. They're being held in the custody of the Department of Corrections.

The shooting remains under investigation.
